Privacy Policy
How we handle your information
Overview
SafeFoodExam.com is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.
Information We Collect
We do not require registration or collect personal information to use our practice tests and study materials. We may collect anonymous usage data through standard web analytics to improve our services, including pages visited, time spent on site, and general location data.
Cookies
We may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience. These may include session cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services such as Google Analytics to analyze website traffic. These services may collect anonymous data subject to their own privacy policies.
Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect any information transmitted through our website. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Mobile App Privacy
In addition to this website, we offer the Safe Food Exam mobile application for iOS. The app can be used without any account, login, or sign-up. Your quiz progress, scores, and study settings are stored only on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app. We do not operate a server that stores your personal information.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Safe Food Exam app is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and process certain information from your device, which may include:
- Device advertising identifiers, including the iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA);
- IP address and approximate (non-precise) location;
- Device and usage information, such as device type, operating system, and interactions with ads.
This information is used to deliver, personalize, frequency-cap, and measure advertising, and to detect fraud and abuse. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and described further at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On Apple devices, the app asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any advertising identifier is used for personalized advertising. If you do not allow tracking, the app shows non-personalized (contextual) ads instead. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Your Privacy Choices & Consent
Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), the app presents a Google-certified consent message before ads are loaded, and requests ads only in accordance with your choices. You can review or change your consent at any time using the “Privacy choices” option in the app's Settings screen. If you are a California resident, you may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information using the same controls together with your device-level tracking settings.
Data Retention
Because the app stores your study data only on your device, that data remains until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. We do not retain your personal information on our own servers. Any data collected by Google AdMob is retained and managed in accordance with Google's own privacy policy and retention practices.
Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
